I just couldn't stand the thought of another car rolling over it. Poor man, he was cussing but willing, so I backed down and apologized. He did check it out on his way to work, and called to say he could not find the kitty. I don't know, I hope the owners find peace. My cat loves to roam at night, but that will not be an option for her any lomger. Death is part of life for all of us including animals. God's love isn't total and complete or perfect unless he loves the animal kingdom also and has a home for them too. That is the purpose of this blog--to encourage us when life hands us a lemon. Owners must take part in responsibility if they let their pets outdoors especially in the city. Oh my gosh, I ran over a kitty tonight. I had my dog in the backseat, and he flew in to the dashboard when I slammed on the brakes, but it was too late. I will never forget the sound of the thunk and end of life for someone's pet. Never. I called animal control, but of course they were closed, so I left a message. I am haunted by the sight of this poor kitty, and can'y stop crying. I hope she was loved and had a good life. I hate the thought of the owner finding her dead. Thanks for the reminder of who is in control. I can get very impatient, with my husband, family, pets, and myself. Little baby blackbird decided to try out his wings in the yard, and Bee zeroed in on him, and I had to rescue this little baby from her mouth. Poor thing was chirping and had his mouth wide open when I pulled him out. He hopped over to the bushes, and shortly after an adult swooped down. After some discussion the little thing hopped off to the lilac bushes. We kept our dogs and cat out of the area, but they so badly wanted out the door. Then today another fledging landed in the yard. Little bird is so cute. I just wish their parents were more digilent. Maybe a peck from a blackbird would hold more weight than our scoldings! Love my doggies! Bridgie and Jabba are up to mischief. It's so hard to see when I am in the midst of it, and I try to remind myself that God, ever so loving, patient, and faithful, got me through one crisis, he'll get me through this one!
